Closet Refresh | What I’ve Bought the Last 2 Months

Since we’ve entered the near year, I haven’t done a big clothing “haul” from any particular place. In fact, I cleaned out my closet in January and donated a TON of clothes and shoes! But I have also added a few items to my closet here and there as a bit of a closet refresh. Some items are for work and some are for the weekend, but I’ve been loving everything and wearing these outfits nonstop. I put together a quick post to share with you some of my new favorites!

Tops

One trend I jumped on to pretty quickly this year was the sweater vests. I ordered both of these from Amazon and I love wearing them to work. I also got the perfect white button down to style underneath. It’s a lightweight, silky material and it comes in several colors. I’m also planning on styling it alone in the spring.

I’m absolutely loving this oversized denim shacket! There isn’t a single outfit it hasn’t looked cute with. It’s kept me warm on chilly days but will also be nice for layering in spring. I am wearing a size small and could have sized down for a less oversized fit.

This vest is back in stock and currently on clearance! It’s also a very oversized fit so I sized down to XS. I love the look and material. It would also look cute styled with leggings and sneakers, but I styled it above for work.

Bottoms

If you follow me on Instagram, you’ve seen me rave about these pants! The Pixie pants from Old Navy have been my go-to work pants since student teaching haha. But as styles have changed, I’d started to get tired of wearing the skinny leg style so often and preferred a wider leg. These straight leg Pixie pants are absolutely perfect! These loafers are also new and another style I can’t wait to wear all spring. They run big and I sized down a full size. Lastly, this blazer is new and I’m in love!!! I’ve started serving in a different type of leadership role at work that requires me to do presentations, observations, etc. and this blazer is so cute for that! I’m wearing a size 2 in the blazer.

Another item I’ve been sharing constantly on Instagram are these Target pants. They are seriously the most comfortable pants for work! I have them in 3 colors now, including these blue and white striped. Keep in mind though that they run BIG! I’m wearing a size 0 and I typically wear a size 4. I love the high waisted fit and straight leg style.

I was searching for another pair of denim without distressing, specifically for wearing to work on Fridays. Although I also styled them for a fun Saturday above! My favorite denim for the past year or two are Abercrombie’s curve love line. They fit my body type perfectly. I love the unique button on these. My smiley face cardigan set is also new. Another trend I’m absolutely loving are smileys! The cardigan and crop top are sold separately, but are on sale currently! You can also wear the cardigan completely buttoned which could make this a fun outfit for work.

When I bought the blazer mentioned above, I also couldn’t take eyes off these pants. I love the fit, corduroy material, and cuffed bottoms. They fit true to size and come in multiple colors. Another great find for work or weekend!

I just shared this entire outfit on my Instagram today, but it’s so cute that it also deserves a spot on this blog post! This is the outfit I got to wear on my birthday and I’m so glad I did. I felt so stylish wearing this around Charlotte all day! The overalls are a splurge and actually my first Free People item I’ve purchased. They are seriously so flattering and comfortable! I know I will wear them a ton and get my money’s worth. You can tell how great quality they are. I also got this basic, ribbed turtleneck bodysuit from Amazon to wear underneath. It ended up being the cutest outfit! My puffer jacket isn’t new but it’s also an Amazon find.

Shoes

Aside from the black loafers I shared above, I also snagged two of the cutest white sneakers from Target! I love white sneakers but I thought these were both super fun and unique. The first pair fits more like a high top and has brown and black detailing that will make them match anything. And the second pair has the cutest sherpa detailing. I have already worn these both a ton but will get even more wear out of them this spring and summer.

If you’re looking to refresh your closet, these are a few of my favorite sale and splurge items that I’ve bought over the last 2 months. If you enjoyed this post make sure you check out some of my other style posts here.
