Happy first day of fall – my favorite season! I love fall weather in North Carolina because it’s chilly, but not too cold. It makes it perfect to wear so many different types of outfits! In the fall, you can either find me lounging around in an oversized sweater or pairing a bodysuit with my favorite cardigan for a date night. I can’t be the only person that finds a clothing item you absolutely love, and then buys it in a ton of colors? I seriously always do that! So for this blog post I am sharing my go-to closet staples for fall (AKA the clothes I love so much that I have them in multiple colors!)

Tunics
Tunics are one of my favorite things to wear in the fall! They are so easy to throw on with legging or jeans. It’s also an added plus if they’re waffle knit! It adds a nice touch without sacrificing comfort. Below are a few of my favorite fall tunics.

Sweaters
I absolutely love wearing sweaters in the fall! To me there’s nothing better than throwing on a cozy oversized sweater for the day. I love having a mixture of solid, basic sweaters and statement sweaters. Here are a few of my favorites:
- Aerie Oversized Chenille Sweaters: I typically get a few sweaters from Aerie at the start of each season. They have the best basics! These chenille sweaters are super cozy and perfect for leggings. I also love Aerie’s sweatshirts.
- Mint Julep Boutique Colorblock Sweaters: The Mint Julep Boutique is hands down my favorite place to get statement sweaters! They have the cutest new arrivals every day. They are definitely my favorite online boutique in terms of style, price, and shipping times.
Cardigans
One of my favorite cute outfits to wear during the fall is a cardigan over a body suit or tee. It’s so easy and stylish, plus it’s perfect for fall weather! I also wear cardigans to work a lot because they are perfect for layering.
- Amazon Cardigan: If you’re looking for a cute, chunky cardigan – this is it! It comes in a ton of leopard variations and they are all so cute! It also comes in different lengths and styles. In the picture above I’m wearing the 2-khaki style. I will link my hat HERE which is also from Amazon.
- Old Navy Cardigan: I love the length and lightweight feel of this cardigan. The side slits also make it super cute! I have it in Heather Gray (shown in the picture below), Warm Coffee, and Black Jack. You can style it so many different ways!
Bodysuits
I absolutely love bodysuits because they are so easy! It gives you the look of tucking in a shirt or tank top without have to worry about it coming untucked. They give such a polished look. I personally get all of my bodysuits from SHEIN because I’ve always had a great experience ordering from there. I love ordering basic bodysuits, tees, and tanks from SHEIN because it’s such an affordable price! Below are a few of the bodysuits I have
- Rib Knit Tank Bodysuit: This is my absolute favorite bodysuit that I talk about (and wear) all of the time! I’m actually wearing it in black in the photo above and in white in the previous photo. It comes in several colors and is only $8!!!
- Solid Form Fitting Bodysuit: This is another good basic bodysuit. It’s similar to the previous one but in a short sleeve version. I love that’s it’s also the rib knit material. I have the black color, but the white and dusty pink are also so cute.
- One Shoulder Bodysuit: I just ordered this one because I thought it was so unique! I love the one shoulder style and of course the rib knit. I ordered this in the mocha brown color but it also comes in 7 other colors.
Leggings
Last but not least on my list of closet fall staples – leggings! I wear leggings several times a week during the fall months. Not only are they super comfy, they are also so easy to dress up for work or dress down for lounging around. Everything I’ve shared in this post has been pretty affordable. I love finding ways to save when shopping! But the one thing I personally splurge on is always leggings. I have tried different dupes and haven’t found anything that compares to the look and feel of my Spanx leggings!
- High Waisted Seamless Leggings: These are the perfect every day leggings. They are tight but still extremely comfortable, and most importantly to me – they stay in place! What I typically don’t like about other leggings is that they stretch out and start to fall by the end of the day. These are 100% worth the price in my opinion!
- Faux Leather Leggings: I love these leggings even more than the seamless ones! They have the same level of comfort and the faux leather makes them SO cute! They are definitely a splurge, but they do go on sale from time to time.
