Over the weekend we traveled to Florida for the wedding of a college friend. It was beautiful weather and we had the best time! This season of life is so fun because every wedding is like an exciting date night for us. I knew I wanted to wear some type of deep gemstone color, and decided that emerald green would be perfect for the occasion. As it turns out, it was a popular color that night! I’m sharing below the dresses I ordered to give you style options for the next time you are a wedding guest. These options would also be perfect for any other formal fall or winter event.

I love shopping Lulu’s for special events, even dating back to our own wedding. I bought my bridal shower dress, rehearsal dinner dress, and second wedding dress from there! They have tons of styles, sizes, and colors to choose from. I ordered four emerald green wedding guest options to try out and ended up keeping two. Although the other option I kept was a bit less formal, it was super flattering and I’m hoping I have the opportunity to wear it soon!
What I Chose
The dress I wore to the wedding was this emerald green velvet dress. I loved the fit and the open back. For size reference, I am wearing a small. However, I did have the length taken up slightly, as well as had a few stitches added to accentuate the slit. I linked everything from mine and my husband’s outfit below!
