Work from Home | My Every Day Essentials

I have been working from home since mid-march amid the COVID-19 outbreak, and I just learned that I won’t be going back this school year. Although I miss my students so much, I have settled into my new normal routine by now. Seeing their faces over Zoom lessons will have to suffice until I can see them again! Below are a few of my work from home essentials that have made the transition much more enjoyable for me.

Blue Light Glasses: When I think about it, I essentially went from only being on the computer for an hour during my planning time at work to being on the computer for the whole work day. I’m also on the computer in the evenings working on my blog. It’s no wonder that I started getting some headaches and feeling strain on my eyes. I am so glad I bought these blue light glasses from Amazon linked HERE. They are so cute! But more importantly, they block your eyes from the potentially damaging blue light emitted from computer and phone screens. I’m also linking my headband and bracelet from the picture above HERE and HERE.

TULA Sunscreen: Speaking of blue light, did you know that it can also be damaging for your skin? I didn’t know that until reading up on the new Protect & Glow sunscreen that TULA just launched – linked HERE. I’ve always worn some type of sunscreen on my face because I know how important it is. But I’ve recently switched to TULA’s sunscreen because it blocks the damaging effects of sun, blue light, and pollution from your skin! I apply it after my moisturizer and it goes on smooth and non-greasy. As I always say about TULA, their products are made with probiotics and superfoods, so I know that I’m putting healthy ingredients on my skin. If you’re a first time customer at TULA, click HERE to receive 20% off.

Computer Cover & Case: I actually got this as a gift for Christmas and I love it! My computer is getting a lot more use lately since I’m using it all day. I love this cover and case combo linked HERE. It also comes with a keyboard protector and screen protector all for $30. There are many sizes and color options available.

Coffee Protein Shakes: If you know me well, you know I LOVE coffee. These coffee protein shakes linked HERE are my jam. I have done my research and tested out many coffee flavored shakes, but I always come back to this one. We used to drink them in the mornings before hitting the gym, but lately I’ve been drinking them as an afternoon snack/pick me up. They have 130 calories, 20 grams of protein, AND as much caffeine as a cup of coffee.

Office Supplies: I am a big list maker. And I might be in the minority on this one, but I still love making lists on paper. I try to make them on my phone and it just doesn’t work the same for me. So I love using cute sticky notes to make the lists more fun. I couldn’t find the exact ones I’m using right now, but I also love these linked HERE and HERE. Also flair pens – if you’ve used them before then you know. These are the ONLY pens I would use at work, and nothing has changed since working from home. Linking the variety pack HERE and the black only pack HERE.

HP Instant Ink: I have used Instant Ink since before working from home. But similar to Home Chef, I am even more thankful for it now. It’s so convenient and much cheaper! I dreaded going to buy ink because it was always so expensive. Or I would go to the store and completely forget to grab it. With Instant Ink, you choose a subscription based on how much you print and pay a monthly fee. When you get low on ink, they automatically send you replacements. You can also change your plan as needed. In the summer, I normally get a cheaper plan and then go back to more frequent printing once school starts. If you haven’t tried it out, you can click HERE to receive 1 month for free.

I almost forgot one thing that has definitely made working from home enjoyable……

Sunny has definitely been living her best life since my husband and I have been working from home. But I’m not going to lie, it is nice to be home with her every day. I don’t have this yet, but considering the circumstances, I’m pretty sure I need to add this Stay at Home Dog Mom shirt to my collection. I’m linking it HERE – it’s so cute!
