Pet Wellness Products| How We Keep Our Pup Healthy

Blue Ridge Mountain Vacation

If you know my husband and I, you probably know our world revolves around our pup Sunny. She goes nearly everywhere with us! From the city to the mountains, she has tackled it all! Well, she hasn’t been out of the country with us yet but it’s on her bucket list haha! Sunny lives such an active life that many people may not know that she actually has had some health concerns along the way. Sunny has had her fair share of visits to the vet for problems stemming from her luxating patellas, frequent ear infections, and a sensitive stomach. It has been a trial and error process of doing whatever we can to keep her happy, healthy, and living her best life! I am sharing below some pet wellness products we’ve found that work for her in case it can help someone else’s pup!

Pet Wellness Supplements
  • Joint Health: About a year ago, we noticed that Sunny started limping and was having difficulty jumping onto the bed or couch. We took her to the vet and she was diagnosed with luxating patella. This basically means that her kneecaps move in and out of place. Her case was grade 2, so luckily it was not serious enough to require surgery at this point. Our vet recommended a joint supplement to help counteract the damaging effects this condition can have on her joints. These supplements have worked amazing for Sunny! After only a few days taking them she didn’t limp anymore. She loves the beef flavor and doesn’t go a day without one. Linking them HERE.
  • Digestive Health: The other supplement that Sunny takes each night is a probiotic to help with digestion. We have learned over the years that Sunny has a very sensitive stomach. She is picky when it comes to her food, and she sometimes goes through periods without wanting to eat. She also has indigestion sometimes after eating. We have noticed a big difference after starting these probiotics! She still has her days, but they aren’t nearly as frequent. These supplements help with indigestion, gas, bloating, and other tummy troubles. The pumpkin was an acquired taste for Sunny but she seems to like it now! I’m linking these HERE.
  • Ear Health: We have also had to take Sunny to the vet several times for ear infections. Although we cleaned her ears regularly, she still seemed to get them. It always required a prescription from the vet to clear up the infection. However, once our vet recommended this particular ear cleanser, we have yet to have any other issues. It works really well and keeps her ears super clean. Linking it HERE.
  • Nail & Paw Care: These maintenance products aren’t directly related to health, but I definitely think they contribute to the overall wellbeing of your pup! Sunny used to get her nails trimmed at daycare. But since she hasn’t been going the last few months, we bought this electric nail grinder from Amazon. It’s easy to use and doesn’t hurt Sunny at all. Linking it HERE. I also just bought this paw palm from Boho & Bark and I’m super excited for it to arrive! I’ve been wanting to get Sunny a paw balm because her paws have been really rough. I like this one because it has all natural ingredients so it won’t harm her if she were to lick her paws. Linking it HERE.

I wanted to share these pet wellness products because they have helped Sunny so much! I highly recommend each product, but I also recommend checking with your vet first to make sure they would work for you pup too! What I also love about these products is that they are all available on Amazon. I actually have the 2 supplements on my Subscribe & Save orders, which means I save 10% on the joint supplements and 15% on the probiotic supplements. I wish I would have started using this feature sooner! Just by adding products to your Subscribe & Save orders you save 5%, and then you can save 10-15% when you have at least 5 products in 1 order. It’s a great way to save on products you order regularly!
