Weekend in Las Vegas | Our Daily Itinerary

My husband and I traveled to Las Vegas for the first time earlier this summer and had a blast! I’ve already shared a blog post detailing what I packed, but have yet to share our daily itinerary. I was super proud of everything I jam packed into our trip since we were only going for a long weekend. I’m sharing below everything we did during our time in Las Vegas!

Travel and Hotel

To maximize our long weekend in Las Vegas we traveled early in the morning on Thursday and took a red eye home on Sunday night (giving us a total of 4 full days). We flew direct with Delta from RDU to LAS with no issues. There are several nice hotels in the area so it was hard to choose, but we went with the Bellagio Hotel & Casino! It seems like you can’t go wrong with hotels on the strip but we appreciated that Bellagio has a partnership with Marriott. The hotel itself was beautiful, and our room was clean and spacious with a great view of the fountain! It was also a nice perk being able to walk around the beautiful Bellagio Gardens. I definitely recommend stopping by to see those even if you stay at another hotel.

Day 1

We landed around noon in Las Vegas, dropped our bags at the hotel, and immediately went to our brunch reservation at Chéri Rooftop. We were offered a table with a fantastic view of the Bellagio fountain and complimentary champagne since we were celebrating our anniversary. The food was also delicious! After brunch we walked around the strip for a little while before resting in the room prior to the evening.

For dinner we enjoyed dinner with a view at SW Steakhouse (located at the Wynn). You definitely want to make reservations ahead of time, especially at the more popular restaurants in Las Vegas. Our show for the evening was O by Cirque du Soleil back at our hotel. I definitely recommend seeing at least one show while in Vegas!

Day 2

Our first full day in Las Vegas was our day of exploration! Fair warning– we walked about 20k steps in the heat but it was well worth it! Our plan for the day consisted of walking the strip and checking out all of the popular hotels and casinos. We started off at The Cosmopolitan to eat brunch at Eggslut. There was a super long line but I’m glad we waited because it was so good! We eventually made our way to the Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas sign for a picture. You could definitely take an Uber but I really enjoyed walking and stopping along the way.

Our dinner reservations for this evening were at Ocean Prime and it was another 10/10 find. I did a ton of research on restaurants prior to the trip and truly loved everything we ate. We ended the night at Caesar’s Place to watch Absinthe. This show is a must see while in Las Vegas! It was the perfect mix of humor and amazing talent– we absolutely loved it!

Day 3

We enjoyed a slow morning on our 3rd day of the trip and made our way to the opposite side of the Las Vegas strip. I highly recommend the Crab Benedict at Bouchon, which is where we had brunch within the Venetian. We also walked over to the Sphere, as well as stopped at a few more casinos of course. 🙂

The highlight of our trip and purpose for visiting Las Vegas was to attend the Coldplay concert! We went back to our hotel to get ready for an insane night at Allegiant Stadium. The concert was even better than we could have imagined! If you love Coldplay as much as us, seeing them perform is a must.

Day 4

After 3 jam packed days of exploring the city, we reserved our last day in Las Vegas for a pool day. We had brunch at the Bellagio pool restaurant. It was so relaxing to enjoy a few Roses by the pool and get a nice tan before heading home. You can reserve pool chairs (including at the adults only pool) beforehand but we took a risk and didn’t have any issues finding chairs. There also weren’t many kids at the time so we didn’t prioritize looking for a spot at the adults only pool. We enjoyed one final dinner at Lago before heading to the airport and concluding our weekend in Las Vegas.

My husband and I truly had so much fun visiting Las Vegas for the first time. Although we were going for the Coldplay concert, we had the best time exploring the restaurants, hotels and casinos, and entertainment found within the city. I would highly recommend visiting at least once, but I think we will definitely plan another trip in the future! 🙂 If you enjoyed this travel guide, see more of my travel guides here.
