Whipped Coffee | Low Sugar Alternative

If you know me, you know that I LOVE coffee. So when I started seeing the whipped coffee recipe trending on social media, I knew I had to try it. The first time I made it, I did it exactly the way the recipe I found online said – 2 TBSP instant coffee, 2 TBSP sugar, 2 TBSP hot water. It was really good! But it definitely had a lot of sugar. I changed the recipe slightly and now I enjoy whipped coffee every weekend without a sugar rush!

Low Sugar Whipped Coffee Recipe

The way I make my whipped coffee is: 1.5 TBSP instant coffee, 1.5 TBSP hot water, and only 1 TSP of sugar. The trick that I love doing for some sugar-free flavor is to use a flavored instant coffee. My favorite is this hazelnut kind linked HERE, but you can use any flavor. You combine those ingredients together and mix until a whipped mixture forms (use a hand mixer for it to be much easier!) Then serve over ice and milk of your choice.

Whipped Coffee: A Low Sugar Alternative

While we’re on the topic of coffee, I thought I’d share a few of my other coffee favorites. I make my every day coffee with my Keurig machine. But instead of regular K-cups, I use this reusable cup linked HERE. You just put regular ground coffee in the cup. It saves so much money and it’s better for the environment – so it’s a win win! If I’m in the mood for a latte, I use a milk frother just like the one linked HERE (couldn’t find the exact brand). I’ve seen a lot of handheld frothers these days, but I like that this one simultaneously warms the milk. I already shared these but it’s worth sharing again! I seriously order these coffee protein shakes linked HERE every few weeks. Anything coffee flavored is my favorite, but I love that these also have caffeine, so they make the perfect afternoon pick-me-up.
