When I first started thinking about a wedding shower, I knew I wanted to do something different than the traditional bridal shower. We had been to a handful of couple’s showers and thought they were such a fun new trend. When we started brainstorming ideas of where to have it at, I immediately thought what better place than at our favorite local brewery. We go to TBC West at Rocky Mount Mills all of the time and absolutely LOVE it! Their outdoor patio is dog friendly (very important to us), and their craft beer, tacos, and atmosphere are all amazing! Our “Love is Brewing” couple’s shower was the perfect celebration before our big day.

The dress I wore is from Lulu’s and can be found HERE. It was exactly the vibe I was going for – a casual summer dress that was still super cute and of course white! I have worn it several times since then, including on our honeymoon. Lulu’s has several cost friendly options for any wedding event in their bridal shop – you can see all of the dresses I bought from Lulu’s HERE. The “love is brewing” banner is from Etsy and can be found HERE.
What I loved about the games at our shower is that they also served as decoration This photo display was my favorite thing from the shower and is still displayed in our home. All of the frames are from Bed, Bath & Beyond. The brown one is no longer available online, but the black one is linked HERE. The “Where Were They?” game is a perfect game for any couple who loves traveling! The exact one is unavailable, but I’m linking a very similar one HERE.
The other games at our shower were “How Well Do You Know Us?” with 10 questions about our relationship and “Guess How Many Bottle Caps.” I created these games myself with matching fonts to the other game – Magnolia Sky and Indy Pimp. We had friends and family save bottle caps for us but didn’t end up with quite enough. I ordered these bottle caps linked HERE from Amazon. I’m also linking our shower invitations from Etsy HERE and the paper I used for the invitations and games HERE.
We decided that since we weren’t going to give out koozies as wedding favors, we would give them out as shower favors. I absolutely loved these and they went perfectly with the theme of the shower. They are from Etsy – linked HERE.
These Mr. and Mrs. pilsner glasses were so cute! I was searching for something like this for us to use and ended them finding them at Target – linked HERE!
I loved this simple table set up! The bottles are actually Root Beer bottles that my family drank and saved for me. The flowers are Peruvian Lilies from ProFlowers – linked HERE.
This is the setup that the brewery put together for the tacos. We offered 3 different types of tacos that people could grab at anytime. If you are local, I highly recommend TBC West for any private event you may have!
Of course, our shower wouldn’t have been complete without our Sunny girl! She mingled with everyone and by the end of the shower was just ready to lay down and relax. My advice about planning a couple’s shower is don’t be afraid to do something different, but also do whatever feels right for you! I was initially nervous that people may find it strange to have a wedding shower at a brewery, but it was SO fun to have all of our family and closest friends celebrate us at one of our favorite spots. Your wedding shower was perfect and it allowed me the opportunity to meet your couples friends, which I enjoyed! The food at TBC West was amazing and the outdoor setting was great! Thanks for including us! ❤️
