We just got back from spending a week in Punta Cana and had the absolute best time! While I am getting everything together for my travel guide post, I thought I would go ahead and share this post detailing what I packed. One thing I’ve learned about traveling is that it’s best to pack smart and light! My husband and I shared a suitcase for this trip so I was very selective about what I brought. It was also way easier than our last big trip to Europe since I only needed to pack swimwear and dinner outfits. I’m sharing both mine and my husband’s outfits below!

Swimwear
For 6 days in Punta Cana, I packed 4 swimsuits with matching coverups, 2 pairs of sandals, and 3 pairs of sunglasses. I also planned ahead which of my hubby’s swimsuits coordinated with each of mine – for pictures of course 🙂 But this also made it super easy to grab an outfit each morning. We repeated a swimsuit once during our stay which was totally fine.

Dinner Outfits
I just realized that the 3 dresses I ended up wearing in Punta Cana are all from Amazon! The other 2 evenings, I opted for pants. I actually had 2 dresses leftover that I didn’t have the chance to wear. The way I cut down a ton when packing dinner outfits was picking 1 bag and 1 pair of heels that would match everything. If you know me, you know how much I love shoes so this wasn’t an easy task! I absolutely love these clear block heels though!

Travel Outfits
Since we were either at the beach/pool or at dinner during our time at the resort, the only other outfits I needed were for our travel days. I love dressing casual but still chic when traveling. You never know what type of delays you may have or if your luggage will get lost, etc. I wore one of my tennis dresses and packed my Free People jumpsuit (not pictured) for our travel days. I love both of these outfits paired with a belt bag and sneakers!
